Mrs Bazley

January 2019

We are sorry to start the new year with some very sad news. Mrs Joan Bazley passed away last week after a short illness. She was a much-loved art teacher at St Joseph's for about 20 years, retiring as Head of Faculty in 1993.

Mrs Bazley continued to live in Reading after retirement. Hamilton Road was the family home until ill health (mobility) a few years ago meant she had to move to assisted living at Alexandra Lodge on Alexandra Road (so still close to St Joseph's!) She never lost her mental ability though, and continued with her painting and drawing throughout her retirement.

Her funeral will be held in Reading at 10.45am on Friday 11 January. Any alumni (staff and pupils) who would like to come would be more than welcome. For further information, please contact Mrs Bazley's daughter as per the following details.

Everyone at St Joseph's College would like to pass on our thoughts and condolences to Mrs Bazley's family and friends at this difficult time.
