A Celebration of Sister Helen by Sixth Form Artist Beth, perfectly describes the sentiment behind this heartfelt project. The portrait, which beautifully captures Sister Helen’s warmth and vitality, was revealed at a special event at the end of last term.

At 91 years old, Sister Helen remains an integral part of the College. Serving as the Prep School Headmistress from 1982 to 1998, she continues to contribute actively to school life. Her dedication has left a strong impression on students and alumni alike, many of whom remember her leadership with great fondness.

The portrait will now take pride of place in the visitors’ lounge, celebrating Sister Helen’s many years of service to St Joseph’s College. Beth’s talent and Sister Helen’s remarkable legacy come together in this piece, making it a meaningful addition to the College’s history.
