We all love receiving parcels and the library has been buzzing with the arrival of a large collection of new books, thanks to generous donations from our alumni, current and former staff and friends of the College.
To mark the official re-opening of the library after complete refurbishment, we launched our 'Give the gift of reading' fundraising campaign.
We have been able to buy a wide variety of fiction and non fiction books, including specific titles requested by our Spanish and Biology departments, to extend our pupils' love of reading and expanding their knowledge.
Our librarian, Mrs van der Weg, was thrilled to receive so many new books and has showcased them to enthusiastic pupils using the library this week.
We are very grateful to our donors for their support and their contribution is recognised with their personalised book plate inside each of the new titles:
Mr Colpus
Mr Voke
Mrs Carr
Mrs Ewen
Mrs Morris
Mrs Luke
Mrs Nickson
Mrs Taylor
It is not too late to donate a book by contacting development@sjcr.org.uk.
